Mask Refusal at Granite School District - Here is what happened
I respectfully notified my hiring supervisor that when I returned to work this year, I would be non-compliant about wearing a mask. I sent a letter explaining this 4 days before the start of the new year. I showed up on time, on my scheduled start date and this was the result...so far. (See links below)

How to split a COMPLEX STL model into two objects using Blender using Knife Project.
Переглядів 19 тис.6 років тому
In my first video about how to do this I used a simple object. Unfortunately, complex objects have unique challenges that require some additional steps to cutting and separating them into two pieces. I am posting an addendum to that original video to show how to do that. Let me state again that I know there are a myriad of tools that aid in cutting operations such as BoxCutter. I want to show a...
Robot Dancing - Stayin' Alive
Переглядів 1,5 тис.6 років тому
Here is a 3D Character that I created, for a game for disabled children, called BrainyAct that is published by www.kinuu.com/ I was just messing around and threw it in Mixamo and then put some music to it. It is a lot more fun to see a 3D character dancing than just standing still in a static render, don't you think?
How to split an STL model into two objects using Blender.
Переглядів 41 тис.6 років тому
I had a request to show how to use Blender to split an STL file into two separate models for 3D printing. These two different methods would obviously work for any models. This is for stock Blender with no add-ons required.

Blender 3D Printing Basics: Finding, Importing and Exporting STL Files
Переглядів 5 тис.6 років тому
So you have found a 3D print file and you want to edit it, but where do you start? This tutorial briefly explains how to use Blender instead of a CAD program to import those files for editing and touches on a few essential add-ons. I do NOT cover how to edit files in this tutorial.

How To Animate A Bending Object Using A Curve Modifier - Part 3: AnimAll Add-On
Переглядів 1,3 тис.7 років тому
This is the final method that I am documenting regarding how to animate a bending object using the Curve Modifier. AnimAll is an excellent add-on that pretty much removes all limitations about what can be animated in Blender. You can directly animate you curve modifier's control points with this and it is great.
How To Animate A Bending Object Using A Curve Modifier - Part 2: Hooks

This is the second part of me showing 3 different methods for animating an object bending using the Curve Modifier in Blender. In this video I use a hook to place an empty between the Bezier Curve's control points and then make my animation.
How To Animate A Bending Object Using A Curve Modifier - Part 1: Shape Keys
Переглядів 3,9 тис.7 років тому
A while back, I made a video on how to bend an object using the Curve Modifier. Someone asked how to animate such a bend and this is my response. In this video I give a brief introduction about Shape Keys in Blender and their very basic usage. I then show how to bend an object using a curve modifier, in addition to using a shape key to create an animation of the object bending.
Baking a single image from multiple textured objects in Blender using Cycles.

Snapping with Custom Transform Orientations in Blender
Переглядів 9 тис.8 років тому
Here is a solution for those times when the built in Blender Transform Orientations don't seem to help you snap vertices as you would like to. Unfortunately, there are limits to snapping with the edge slide feature so a Custom Transform Orientation is the solution (or at least the only one I know of).
Super fast geometry reduction using Checker Deselect in Blender

Have some extraneous geometry that you need to get rid of? Trying to reduce a high poly model for low poly game art? Maybe you would like to simplify heavy geometry and use subdivision surfaces instead. In all these cases, Checker Deselect is a real time saver.
Setting up lights to automatically point at your object in Blender

So, just to be sure because I might be confusing myself on my project: Would each INDIVIDUAL cube be considered an instance of "empty", or would each GROUP of cubes be considered an instance for "empty"?

Thank you! Still a relevant technique in Blender 3.x, but CTRL + ALT + SPACE has changed as the default shortcut. Use the drop-down menu found in 3D View > Header > Transform Orientation > "+" key to the right, called "Create Orientation". Also deleting the custom orientation is handled in the drop-down menu and not in the Sidebar (N).

I’m trying to get some nice stuff if this game (and the other one of the movie) to talk about in some videos, cause I love to talk about Hannah and I wanna talk about the games cause I know that there’s a lot of things that people would love to know!! Do you have more information about this game? Did you make more characters?

I have multiple object, each object have 3 level hierarchies. each object is a small object which and scattered around the scene so is hard to select them on viewport. Now how do I fast select them all including their hierarchy from the list ? I tried select them using Shift but when I right klick and select hierarchy only the active object is selected with the hierarchy all the other object I multiple selected before is automatically unselected. The only way I found is to open each level of the hierarchy from each object then I shift select them all. But opening each hierarchy is taking too long.
